Us Weekly: Bradley Cooper & Irina Shayk's Still Close despite Their 2019 Break Up

Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk are parents to a young daughter, and despite breaking up a few years back, the pair seem to be getting along fine. Their bond has since sparked dating rumors.

Bradley Cooper, 46, and his ex-girlfriend Irina Shayk, 35, shocked their fans when their break-up was announced in June 2019. Their separation came after the couple had been together since 2015.

The two had allegedly met through friends. The model and the actor later welcomed their daughter, Lea De Seine, 4, in March of 2017, before separating around the time Cooper was rumored to be dating someone else.

At the time, the actor was making headlines for the seemingly intimate performance he gave alongside Lady Gaga in "A Star Is Born." The chemistry they shared in the movie, and subsequent performances, left audiences questioning.

Despite the split, Shayk and Cooper appear to be making a go at a friendship for their daughter's sake. However, their current close relationship is a far cry from how things were before the separation as they spent too little time together.

A People magazine source told the publication that, at the time, the actor and model were living separate lives. The insider said when Cooper was in Los Angeles, Shayk was out of town and vice versa.

Another source said Shayk was reportedly not focused on her stardom and only wanted to protect her family. However, Cooper was more into his work and taking advantage of all the career opportunities that came his way.

According to an Us Weekly source recently, the bond between the former couple still exists and "hasn't changed" and the pair are still "incredibly close." The insider said they'd been spending a lot of time together, focusing on their daughter.

The source also explained how the "American Sniper" actor enjoys being with his family during breaks from filming, adding:

The former pair are allegedly focusing on building a great co-parenting relationship. One of the recent times they were seen together was during an outing on November 14, 2021.

The Daily Mail shared images of the "Silver Linings Playbook" actor and the model looking cozy with each other as they strolled through Manhattan's West Village. At one point, they even walked arm-in-arm.

The way the duo looked so happy together made people wonder if their relationship was more than platonic. However, the truth about their relationship might lie in Shayk's 2020 statement to British Vogue.

The model, who was briefly linked to Kanye West after they took a trip to Paris earlier this year, said good relationships bring out a person's best and worst. She added that it didn't mean two great people together would automatically yield a good couple.
