Kathy Lee Gifford Spent Thanksgiving with Friends – Her Kids Live in Different Cities
While many families got to spend Thanksgiving together last week, Kathie Lee Gifford was away from her family because her children live far from her. Despite that, she made the most of the holiday.
Kathie Lee Gifford, 68, has been an empty nester for quite some time, and with her two children being married now, the star revealed she had to enjoy the Thanksgiving holidays with friends.
Her daughter, Cassidy, 28, and son, Cody, 31, live in Hawaii and Nevada, respectively, while the television personality stays in Tennessee. Both her children are also newly married.

Speaking to People magazine recently, Kathie Lee explained that she couldn’t be with her children for the holiday because of how spread out they are, stating:
"We're all over the world right now!”

The former “Today” show host also noted how everyone was living their lives and her family was growing. Despite not being together for Thanksgiving, Kathie Lee said they were all experiencing good times in their lives and they tried to share the joy they were feeling.
Even though Cody and Cassidy weren’t with their mother for the holiday, she anticipated that she would make the most of it by hosting a Thanksgiving dinner.
The television personality shared how she would host a party with friends in Nashville with guitars being played and lots of good food. She revealed her two pianos would also be used during the event.
For the second ceremony, Kathie Lee’s [Gifford] daughter wore a Monique Lhuillier gown and veil, and heels.
Her four guitars would also come into play, and she predicted the festivities would go on until late at night. She revealed that she planned on hosting a seated dinner for a maximum of eight people but anticipated walk-in guests.
Although Kathie Lee isn’t a co-host on the “Today” show anymore, she still does appearances like at the Power of Literacy Luncheon early this month.
She and Dominique Sachse had a fireside chat in Houston where she spoke about her career, family, and book “The Jesus I Know.” Talking about family, here’s a brief look at Cassidy’s 2020 wedding ceremony.
Cassidy initially had an intimate ceremony in June 2020, marrying her longtime partner Ben Wierda. However, the couple ended up hosting a second wedding celebration for family and friends on October 10, 2021.
For the second ceremony, Kathie Lee’s daughter wore a Monique Lhuillier gown and veil, and heels. The event was held at Acme Feed & Seed, where the pair rented out all four floors in downtown Nashville.
