Alex Rodriguez's future seemed a bit bleak after he and Jennifer Lopez ended things earlier in the year. However, he appears to have found comfort in his ex-wife, with whom he shares two children.
Alex Rodriguez, 46, initially met Cynthia Scurtis, 48, in the late 1990s. They ended up getting married in 2002 but separated in July 2008 after Scurtis filed for divorce, citing "marital misconduct" and "emotional abandonment."
During their marriage, the former New York Yankees player and the former psychology teacher welcomed two daughters, Natasha, 17, and Ella, 13. Scurtis moved on and married her current husband, Angel Nicolas.

With Nicolas, Rodriguez's ex-wife welcomed another child in 2016, daughter Camilla. Meanwhile, it appeared the former athlete had found happiness when he and singer/actress Jennifer Lopez, 52, started dating.
Their relationship blossomed so much that Rodriguez proposed. Sadly, their relationship wasn't meant to last as he and the "Jenny From the Block" singer called off their engagement and went their separate ways.

However, Rodriguez seems to have found comfort in his friendship with his ex-wife. An Us Weekly source said the former couple is spending a lot of time together with Natasha and Ella, saying:
“It’s like they’re one big happy family when they’re together.”
Luckily for the former MLB player, he and Nicolas actually get along quite well. The insider revealed that the two men have built a friendship together and are supportive of each other.
The insider said the pair [Alex Rodriguez and Kelly Bensimon] are allegedly flirting via text and he’d asked her out more than once.
Last month, Rodriguez, Nicolas, and Scurtis spent Thanksgiving together with their children. The source claimed they now intend on spending Christmas as a blended family too.
The former athlete has allegedly been more present now that he isn't dating. The insider said that now that he's single, he has more time on his hands which he enjoys spending with his family.
Rodriguez reportedly even went as far as asking his ex-wife and her Miami realtor husband to join in with the girls when they were doing fun activities.
Even though the star is single, he is allegedly interested in someone. According to a Page Six source, Rodriguez is texting Kelly Bensimon, 53, from "The Real Housewives of New York City." The insider said the pair are allegedly flirting via text, and he'd asked her out more than once.
Amid those rumors, the former athlete was spotted last month leaving a private plane at New York's Westchester County Airport. He was accompanied by an unknown female companion.
