"Carrie" is an acclaimed supernatural horror movie released in 1976. Adapted from Stephen King's novel of the same name, it follows the story of a shy 16-year-old, Carrie White.

Carrie lives with her mother, Margaret White, a religiously devout and unstable mother. The teenager is constantly bullied and mocked at school. One incident where Carrie is tormented for having her first period leads to an unexpected chain of events on prom night.

Carrie, who had just discovered her telekinesis powers, fatally reacts to a prank on her by her bullies, leading to the death of many of her schoolmates. Carrie is seen as an ambition, especially by her mother, as highlighted in the quotes below.
