In the first Chucky film, "Child's Play," Karen initially bought the Good Guy Doll for her son Andy. This doll is, however, far from 'good.' Instead, going by the name Chucky, it is possessed by the serial killer Charles Lee Ray. The murderer transferred himself into the doll via voodoo when he was on the brink of death.
