"Venom: Let There Be Carnage," the sequel to 2018's "Venom," hit theaters in 2021, debuting the live-action rendition of one of the MCU and Marvel Comics' most fearsome villains, Cletus Kasady, a.k.a Carnage.

In "Venom: Let There Be Carnage," fans see Eddie Brock once more, still reeling from losing the woman he loved and the downfall of his career, while living with a rather mean and ever-hungry symbiote: Venom.

In this sequel, the journalist attempts to revive his career after he is invited to interview convicted serial killer Cletus Kasady. Cletus personally wanted Eddie to write his story before his execution, but he gets much more than that.

After biting Eddie's hand in a fit of rage, Cletus tastes his blood, which he notes doesn't quite taste like normal human blood. It was only a few drops, but they contained enough of Venom's DNA to transform him into a red, bloodthirsty beast.

And thus, Carnage was born. Cletus considers himself one with the symbiote, notably speaking in first person and begins wreaking havoc on the city. Although his story was only recently televised, Carnage has long been in the Marvel comics.

A notable part of "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" is how, through the introduction of Carnage and his past traumas onscreen, the film delved deeper into Eddie's old internal pains, revealing how they shaped him into who he is.
