Saruman, sometimes called 'Saruman the White,' is one of the key figures in J. R. R. Tolkien's novels and adapted films. Famously portrayed by Christopher Lee, he appears primarily in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy and plays a role in "The Hobbit" as well.
