Samwise Gamgee, or simply Sam, is one of the leading characters and is ever present in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy. His central role is to serve his master and good friend, Frodo Baggins.

Sam's adventures are centered around his time with Frodo on their journey to Mordor to destroy the rings in the fires of Mount Doom. In their quest, the pair are joined by other people and creatures and also face many daunting obstacles.

However, Sam remains loyal and a good friend to Frodo, and their strong bond brings some of the film's most heartfelt moments. The two main characters also have quite a respectful mutual view, some of which are highlighted in the quotes below.
