Despite the premise and historical accuracy of some general events, no one should take these period dramas as a real representation of what happened at the time. It was mostly made for entertainment and to tell a complicated but exciting love story.

The CW does a great job of transporting people to different times thanks to great costume design and medieval sets, and the actors bring these characters to life in a fantastic way.
