Master Shifu, the sage master of the Jade Palace, is a red panda voiced by Dustin Hoffman in the "Kung Fu Panda" film franchise. Having dedicated his entire life to kung-fu, he plays a central role in all the films as the mentor of the Furious Five and, eventually, the main character, a panda named Po.

Initially, he refused to train Po, whose past mentor, Master Oogway, insisted he was "The Dragon Warrior." Eventually, however, after Oogway's death, Master Shifu chose to believe in his prophecy and trained Po. Along with the Furious Five, Po defeated Tai Lung, the antagonist, and Shifu's adopted son.
