Many will agree that foxes are adorable; with their beady eyes and pointy noses, it's hard to resist how cute they are. But solitary, sleeping underground, and shy, foxes are difficult to get close to. Read the 38 quotes below to get slightly closer; at least in theory.

Foxes' relatives are dogs, jackals, and wolves, but they appear to be an anomaly among their pack-dwelling, day-hunting far-off relatives. Rather than live, sleep, and hunt in packs, they do all this alone.

This is except when they have pups. During this period, foxes will create small groups while raising their little ones, but once the deed is done, they return to their old ways, living and sleeping in underground burrows.

While foxes are wild creatures, they do not attack human beings. These animals are quite wary and shy and will not warm up to a human being, choosing instead to escape the situation as fast as possible.

While humans don't generally suffer any threat from the rabbits, guinea pigs, and other tiny pets may be at risk. Fully grown dogs and cats are likely to be okay.
