The Japanese Academy nominated "A Silent Voice" for Best Animation Film nomination. There were many other nominations from different organizations, including four wins.

Two of these wins were from the 2017 Tokyo Anime Awards for Best Film Award in the Feature Film Competition and Best Screenplay/Original Story for the Film Category.
