Scorpion was one of the first characters created for the "Mortal Kombat" franchise, facing a perplexing redemption arc throughout his narrative.
After Sub-Zero killed him, he came back to life, choosing to use his fiery powers in service of darker forces to avenge the murder of his clan by Sub-Zero. The conflict between these two characters is an intriguing and central part of the "Marvel" universe.
