For 12 seasons, "The Big Bang Theory" was the biggest sitcom on American television due to Sheldon Cooper and his nerdy friends. The characters developed in amazing ways, turning the show into more than just dorky men trying to find love.

It became about keeping a strong friendship, even through social awkwardness and, in Sheldon's case, a little selfishness. His character grew the most, going from a boy genius who preferred loneliness to a married man accompanied by some of the best people you can have in life.

Audiences celebrated when Sheldon and Amy won the Nobel Prize and cried as the main show ended. However, "Young Sheldon" helps keep his story going, adding new nuances to the story with his family life and growing up in Texas as a child prodigy. Let's remember some amazing moments with these 60 Sheldon quotes.

"The Big Bang Theory" truly helped usher in "The Age of Nerd," where superheroes and franchises like "Game of Thrones" became part of mainstream pop culture. They would've been considered "nerdy stuff" before, but people realized how cool nerds could be, thanks to Sheldon and his friends.

His wife, Amy Farrah Fowler, was played by Mayim Bialik, who recently posted a throwback snap with her TV husband, Jim Parsons, from his 2017 wedding. Parsons met his real-life partner, Todd Spiewak, in 2002, but they hid their relationship for ten years.

Meanwhile, Iain Armitage, who plays the younger version of Sheldon Cooper, posted pictures of his travels on social media. It's crazy how much he has grown over the last six seasons, and fans were left in tears after the finale.
