Besides his handsome looks, native Mirkwood Elf Legolas is known for his intelligence, skills, and overall personality. In "The Lord of the Rings," he embarks on a journey with Frodo, Sam, and Gollum to save the Middle-Earth people.

Legolas is both a Fellowship of the Ring member and The Battle of The Five Armies hero, making him one of the best characters. Legolas shares wonderfully worded quotes throughout the film franchise, which are both wise and sometimes funny.

Although he is an elf of little words, he often thinks before speaking and helps set the tone of each scene. Legolas later becomes an even more essential character with the release of "The Hobbit."
