Symbols exist everywhere. They help us interpret and simplify complex concepts and make connections between people, ideas, and things simply and easily.

You can create symbols out of anything: gems, colors, different kinds of teas, and, of course, flowers. Flowers have always been used to represent different feelings and ideas. Common ones include red roses for romance, sunflowers for happiness, and Orchids for sympathy.

Star signs also have connections to flowers, representing core aspects of their personalities.

Aries (March 21-April 19): Red honeysuckles

Unafraid and flaming, Honeysuckles bloom everywhere with abandon, showing their vibrancy with confidence and artistry. Such is an Aries, confident, bold, and courageous to take up space. The red flowers evoke feelings of passion, something that is not lacking in the ram.

The Druids purportedly saw honeysuckles as a symbol as a metaphor for not giving up and remaining strong in your convictions. If any star sign can attest to that, it's Aries.

Taurus (April 20-May 20): Hindu Rope

Hindu Ropes are succulents that can be kept in the house and are low maintenance. Like Taurus, they can withstand much, as the sun sign does, through their thorough determination.

When the succulent blooms, the flowers are elaborate yet simplistic and beautiful. They testify to the bull's eventual success through slow and steady resolve.

Gemini (May 21-June 20.): Begonia

Begonia come in a multitude of colors and are generally used for decoration. These colors symbolize the mercurial personality of the Gemini and the decor, showing that they tend to bring attention to themselves through their natural charisma.

The flower also represents good communication, which is apt for this star sign.

Cancer (June 21-July 22): Moonflower

Moonflowers are connected to Cancer, as they are the signs whose ruling "planet" is the moon. These plants gracefully open up as the night begins to loom and close up during the day, showing Cancer's propensity to be in their own space until they are comfortable enough to open up.

Leo (July 23-August 22): Sunflowers

Yellow, big, bright, and the color of the sun, is it any surprise that sunflowers would be a Leo's flower? Their petals, which frame the plant's core, also represent a Lion's mane. Most of all, however, is Leo's ruling planet.

Virgo (August 23-September 22): Chrysanthemum

These flowers look like they were shaped perfectly by delicate hands, in line with Virgo's perfectionist nature. They are graceful, like the star sign; more than that, they can be made into a tea to help individuals relax, indicative of this maiden urge to nature his, her, or their loved ones.

Libra (September 23-October 22): Red roses

Romantics at heart, the red rose is right in line with Libra's personality. They represent the desire for true love and commitment, so much so that they are the go-to gifts for any romantic partner.

Scorpio (October 23-November 21): Petunia "Black Magic"

Petunias are related to emotions and sometimes symbolize resentment. This is apt as the Scorpion emanates an emotional intensity and can sometimes be pretty resentful. "Black Magic" relates to Scorpio's connection and interest in the occult, such as tarot reading, palm reading, and astrology.

Sagittarius (November 22-December 21): Pansies

Pansies emit positivity and color, bringing a sprinkle of joy to any gardener and person who enters or comes into contact with it—the archers ooze positivity and brightness to the point that they can brighten anyone's day if needed.

Capricorn (December 22-January 19): Carnation

Carnations are known for their simplicity, symbolic loyalty, and longevity, all resonating with the Capricorn's faithful nature and capable endurance. The flower also blooms in January, the month of this star sign.

Aquarius (January 20-February 18): Orchid

Orchids stand out. They are original and unapologetic in their eccentric presence. The water-bearers, who are unique and unafraid to show it, are suited to this flower.

Pisces (February 19-March 20): Lotus

Lotus grows in water, the birthplace of Pisces. They are known for their spiritual symbolism and quiet strength, two aspects of Pisce's personality that make it the best flower for anyone born under this sign.
